If you're planning some sunny days in Indian River County, Florida, we’ve scoped out the best oceanfront parks so you don’t have to. Whether you're traveling with kids, need wheelchair access, or just want a relaxing spot with a view, there’s a beach here with your name on it. Here's our top 3!

🌊 1. Golden Sands Park – Our #1 Pick!

This one checks all the boxes! Golden Sands Park is hands-down our favorite beach in the area. It has:

• True wheelchair access ♿

• Lifeguard on duty 👮‍♂️

• Tons of parking 🅿️

• Super clean restrooms 🚻

• Shady picnic shelters 🍉

• A beautiful playground for the kiddos 🎠

Bonus: It’s also a sea turtle nesting beach! Keep an eye out for Loggerhead and Green turtles from mid-April to early September, and baby turtles making their way to the ocean June through October—best viewed from sunset to sunrise. 🐢🌅

🌴 2. Treasure Shores Park – A Hidden Gem

This park tied for our second place spot (along with Round Island Park). Here's what we loved:

• Clean bathrooms 🚻

• Lots of parking 🅿️

• Shaded picnic tables & a nice playground 🧺

The only reason it didn’t snag the top spot? No lifeguard and no wheelchair access. But if those aren’t deal-breakers for you, this one is definitely worth the visit!

🐚 3. Round Island Beach Park – Space & History

Rounding out our top three is Round Island Beach Park, located on the southern end of the county. It’s got:

• Wide, spacious beaches 🏖️

• A lifeguard on duty 👨‍✈️

• Clean restrooms and a playground 🚻🎠

• Shaded picnic tables 🧺

• And a cool bit of local history too!

One thing to note: the beach entry has a bit of a quirky hump, but we’ve got a feeling that’ll be smoothed out soon.
